2016 Irish Pilgrimage - O Come, Holy Spirit!

Chapitre St Patrick has completed the 34th Pentecost Pilgrimage from ND Paris to ND Chartres.

We walked, prayed and sang from one cathedral to the other in honour of Our Lady. There were 20 pilgrims in the chapter with a further five joining for the first and last stage. Our pilgrimage ended on Tuesday morning with a final Mass in the crypt in Chartres.

Pilgrims who walked with the Chapter in previous years, pilgrims who couldn't physically join us this year, and deceased pilgrims from the Irish Chapter were remembered in our prayers, particularly on the third day.

Pilgrimage to Chartres 2015!

The Irish Chapter has returned safely from the 33rd Pilgrimage to Chartres.

Our pilgrimage began with Mass in the Irish College on Friday evening where we were joined by members of the Our Lady of Walsingham Chapter, including Fr. Gerard Byrne and Fr Martin Edwards.

On our three-day procession to Chartres we had 32 pilgrims in our Chapter, and were once more joined by the Russian Chapter. We were blessed with great 'walking weather', not too hot and only one morning of rain.

For the duration of the pilgrimage we were joined by Dom Finian and Dom Elijah from Silverstream Priory  in Co. Meath. Fr Gerard Byrne of our Our Lady of Walsingham Chapter joined us on Pentecost Sunday and we also had visits from seminarians and priests from America, France and Lichtenstein.
